Nightlife in San Francisco?
 

Please recommend a perfect night out in San Fran to celebrate my 29th birthday. Where are the best bars and night clubs with class in San Francisco?

Beach Blanket Babylon at Club Fugazi. A San Francisco tradition for over 29 years.

For clubs, try Matrix-Fillmore or 111 Minna. For a great bar scene, try the Lion's Pub. All are considered "see-and-be-seen" type of places (even though I cringe to use that phrase) and you can definitely get your party on at any of them. If you want a great swanky tiki lounge go to the Tonga Room at the Fairmont.

It's seen better days, but it's still a blast.

We seldom make it to 9:00 in SF anymore.

Plus, "classy" and "Kal" usually aren't used in the same sentence. :'(

Moose's, Wash Sq Bar and Grill, Carnelian Room at the top of the BofA bldg, Cityscapes, Compass Rose Room at the St Francis, The Redwood Room @ The Clift, The Grand Cafe, are some of the nicer places that won't let us in anymore.
