Nightlife in Boston
Can anyone give me some suggestions on nightlife in Boston for 2 single girls (late 20's-early 30's). Any good place to dance? Hang out? Meet some fun people.
We will be visiting in late October (coming for the Eddie Izzard show!) I've been to Boston once before, but we didn't really know where to go after 10:00 p.m. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks! |
Check out bostonphoenix.com. Its the website of the alternative newspaper in town. Should be a source of info.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want clubs, the "alley" off of Boylston Street (across from the common) has clubs and many are found on Landsdowne Street near Fenway Park. If you want more casual - then you might want to try Central Square in Cambridge (the MiddleEast) or Harper's Ferry in Allston.

hi girls! i'm in my 20's and have lived in Boston for a few years. here are some places that my friends and i like to party at (the choices below reflect our preference for lounge-bars rather than pubs or dance clubs):
euro/trendy crowd - pravda (near boston common) mantra (near downtown crossing) caprice (theater district) 33 (33 stanhope st, near hard rock cafe) whiskey park (park plaza hotel) other bars - felt (near downtown crossing) enormous room (central square) grafton street (harvard square) red line (harvard square) |
myself and two mates are heading to boston around the 22nd week until 4th of nov, from the U.K.
so, if you or anyone else hear's of any other good bars/ clubs /parties, we too need help to find, local places to hang out at too....... |
Sofia's in the Fenway area

Thanks for the suggestions jellybelly and others. Hleesa - we both like different clubs, anything from great dance music (hip-hop/house/techno), to afterwork happy hour scene. Prefer post-college crowd as we are both over 25. I noticed on my last visit, Boston is very much a "bar" town. Is there a good music scene?
