nightlife for 25 yr. olds
 

My son and 2 friends are heading to Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow for a long weekend. I am familiar enough to recommend restaurants but don't have a clue as to nightlife. Can anyone suggest bars or clubs for this age group? They are staying at aunt's condo near Lago Mar, but will have a car. Many thanks.

The place for nightlife in Ft. Lauderdale is Las Olas Boulevard. It's the main street in the downtown area. There are quite a number of nice restaurants/bars there.

Id forget las olas. Head to south beach or coconut grove in miami.

I agree Coconut Grove or South Beach for really hot fun. JMHO but I found most of Ft. Lauderdale bars to be seedy. I may not have hit the right ones but ...... Just liked other parts of South Florida better.

I don't suggest partying in South Beach if they are staying in Ft. Lauderdale unless they are going to cab it to South Beach and back.

It would be cheaper to stay at a hotel one night than to take a cab back and forth.

Plenty of fun places on Las Olas.

I am guessing 3 mid 20 year olds will not have trouble finding entertainment in Ft. Lauderdale at this time of year. As a parent I recommend not asking too many questions.
