Nice/Affordable hotels by Inner Harbor?
We are planning a long weekend (Sat-Monday) trip to Baltimore just to get away and relax. We will be driving from NJ so we'll have a car but prefer to be within a comfortable walking distance of Inner Harbor. Any suggestions for nice hotels that are around or under $150/night? Thanks!

We've always been successful using Priceline. When we bid, we narrow it down to 4 star hotels within Inner Harbor. We stayed in Baltimore in July at the Waterfront Marriott (using Priceline) for $95 a night not including tax or parking.
Hope you're not going this week-end as nothing seems to be available on priceline. There must be a big convention going on.

Check expedia, there are a few. I have stayed at the Mount Vernon Hotel. It is an easy 10 block walk to the Inner Harbor. Although the hotel was not anything over the top, it was nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. While in Baltimore don't miss the American Visionary Museum. I found it to be very interesting even if you are not a museum type person.

Katie2's suggestion about using priceline is a good one - discounts are usually pretty good, but you should stick to the 4* hotels. If you don't want to use priceline, check out the Fairfield Inn at 101 President St. Their rates have been pretty good, it's new, and very accessible to the Inner Harbor.

Oh, and by the way, isn't it totally silly to post an ad for a "price compare" type website and then say which hotel to book, without comparing prices for a specific date? What dates (or year) were you quoting that price for? Too funny!
