Nice value hotels in Ft. Lauderdale
 

We're taking the kids (5 & 9) to Ft. Lauderdale in mid-December and wondered if anyone could recommend a beachfront hotel that would cost under $100 a night in FL Beach or possibly Hollywood.<BR><BR>Thanks!

I stayed at the Sherton Clipper they have a building right on the beach. We paid $85.00 a night in June. I think Dec. the rates will be higher. There is also a place called the Best Western Pelican, cute little places, right on the beach. Again, Dec. may be a tough month to find that price. Good luck.

I too stayed at the Yankee Clipper a year ago. Very inexpensive and also quite nice. Enjoyed it very much.

The best western oceanside is right behind the clipper and may have better rates, breakfast included. It is on the same side of the street as the ocean so easy walk down to beach, but is not oceanview as it is blocked by the Clipper.

Try www.superiorsmalllodgings.com. Great properties (old mom and pop motels spruced up quite nicely and most include kitchens).
