Nice beach in Virginia or Maryland
 

I will be spending Christmas with my daughter and her family in Potomac, Maryland and would like to stay a few days in a nice beach within a short drive from them. What nice beach may I find either in Virginia or Maryland.

I think it is far too cold to swim or even wade in the Atlantic Ocean. If you are looking for a nice beach town with a boardwalk, try Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Rehoboth is about 3 hours east mostly on US 50 from Potomac MD. Be very careful not to get exposed to Covid 19 and then spread to others. Wear a mask when within 6' of others not in your household. Cape Henlopen State Park is about the best non-urban beach in DE.
