Nice/affordable place to stay in L.A.?

We are planning a trip to the L.A. area early Feb. Any suggestions on a nice, but affordable place to stay? Price somewhere between $100 and $200 per night.

Where do you want to be? LA covers one huge area! My personal favorite is Summerfield Suites in West Hollywood on the edge of Beverly Hills. It is an all suite apartment hotel with secure self parking below and a very nice breakfast buffet included. It is on a hill just below Sunset Blvd. and has a rooftop pool and wonderful deck with superb views. It is less than $200 a night.

You might look into a bed & breakfast. We did that a couple of years ago, and it worked out well for us. Can't make nay recommendations, but I'm sure you can find something on the Web or in a B&B reference book at the library.

I've stayed at several L.A. Residence Inn properties over the years. A full suite with breakfast, and price is usually $100-150. I think they are a great deal!
