Nice 2 or 3 day trip
 

Looking for a two or three day vacation to suprise my wife and two daughters, 12 & 14 with. We live in the Phoenix area. Anybody want to share there ideas? <BR> <BR>Dave

You don't say if you want to fly or drive. You could go down to Tucson and easily while away a long weekend there. Or you could fly to San Diego, check out the beach, the S.Diego Zoo, the wild animal park, all the art at Balboa Park, Coronado, Old Town....and oops! you have to go home! <BR> Or zing over to Santa Fe - great place for a long weekend. <BR> <BR>Have fun

Do the usual "Zonie" thing and visit San Diego. Fairly easy drive and cheap airfare if that is your choice. Lots to do as suggested above.

Since you live in The Grand Canyon State, I'll presume you've already taken your family there. If so, I would suggest going north from there into the canyon country of Utah. Been to Bryce, Zion, Esacalante? If not, go there. If so, check out Monument Valley, Natural Bridges, Capitol Reef, Gooseneck of San Juan, Petrified Forest. <BR> <BR>If cities are more your pleasure, go east to Sante Fe/Taos/Albuquerque. <BR> <BR>San Diego is a WONDERFUL place to visit, but I don't think you would do it justice in a 2-3 day visit from Phoenix.

I certainly could be happy for 2-3 days in Santa Fe. Easy flight and lovely small city full of great restaurants and lots to see. <BR>
