Niagara on the Lake
 

My wife and I are interested in staying at something very nice at Niagara on the Lake. Would like to be within walking distance to town. Also what winery tours and restaurants would you recommend. Price is no object for accomdations since we are in our early forties and enjoy the good life.Thanks for any info.

Probably, the finest accomodations in the very center of town is at the Prince of Wales hotel. I am sorry that I don't have the address but I know that the tourist board can get you the phone number. This is first class all the way and it right on Main Street. Most of the restaurants have great looking menus and in my one day there I ate at "The Buttery" which was casual. Good for brunch and we actually went back there for dinner. There are more formal restaurants too. It is a lovely place!

A couple of questions: <BR>1.) Any ideas on where to camp in Adirondack Park. We're a family of six, so we're looking for family oriented, safe, pretty and semi-rustic experiences; not overly "touristy". <BR> <BR>2.) Also, interested in good camping spots in Acadia National Park...with same requirements as above. <BR> <BR>3.) Same info needed for the Niagra Falls area. <BR> <BR>Thanks. <BR> <BR>

I definitely have to agree with the suggestion for the Prince of Wales hotel. First class is every way. Niagra on the Lake is fantastic. <BR>

Best couple restaurants in Naigara-On-The-Lake are the restaurant in the Prince of Whales Hotel, and Restorante Giardino in the Gate House Hotel. <BR>

Stayed at the Pillar and Post - very nice. Also ate at queen's Landing - was also very nice. have a wonderful trip.

Pillar and Post- very nice <BR>Prince of Wales- very very nice <BR> <BR>Both are in the thick of things though it is a longer walk from P@P - if you are going during the summer go to the various theatres presenting plays during the Shaw Festival- well worth attending - visit the old apothecary shoppe - such a quaint place - delicious fruits and pastries
