Newport RI -B&B suggestions?

Looking for suggestions for nice B&B's...My husband and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary and would like to spend 2-3 nights in July. Any help would be appreciated!

Just got back from Newport(Memorial Day Weekend) and enjoyed it. We stayed at the Newport Hotel & Marina, great location but a little too expensive. I would suggest calling the reservation central number for B&B's (I don't have the number)and ask for any B&B near the waterfront in the down town area. We passed several but they all seemed nice. You can't go wrong staying in a B&B in the waterfront area. It is a small area so you don't need exact waterfront to have a good location. We also saw the Castle Inn, it is beautiful but it is not walking distance from the waterfront. This is not good since driving through/near the waterfront is a hassle because of slow traffic. It's better to arrive and park and spend the weekend on foot. Go see the breakers, take the ocean drive and try to take a harbour cruise. We ate at the Mooring but it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. Enjoy!

The Hotel Viking is always a good choice. It is an Historical Inn of America and is within walking distance of the waterfront. While in Newport, take in The Breakers and Beechwood. If you have time Hammersmith Farm is nice also (this is where Jacqueline Kennedy grew up.) Make sure you take in the twelve mile drive. As far as places to eat, The White Horse Tavern is a nice place but expensive (I have not eaten there). The Seafare Inn in Portsmouth, R.I. is absolutely wonderful. If you are looking for a nice, romantic place with excellent food -- this is the place for you. It is not in Newport but about a 15 minute drive (in Portsmouth) but worth the time and effort. I am from a small town outside of Newport and highly recommend the Seafare Inn. Good Luck and have fun.
