Newport Inn - I just can't remember

Eight years ago I spent several nights in Newport, RI. I stayed at a really nice Inn out away from town...it was not Castle Hill Inn but I can't remember the Inn's name and I have packed away all of my travel info from those days. Can anyone help me?

I want to take my mother and mother in law on a long weekend this fall and thought this might be a great spot to return to.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Could it be the Chanler, which was formerly named Cliff Walk Manor?

What was the view from where you stayed?

Thanks to all for your helpful suggestions...My internet server was down for several DAYS and then we went out of town for the weekend.

I have looked at all of the sites mentioned and none of them look like the place I stayed 8 years ago.

It was out on the cliffs, a small inn (maybe 15- 20 rooms) with a very plesant small dining room. The room I stayed in was actually not in the inn but upstairs over a garage or cottage behind the inn.

If you have any more good ideas please let me know.

thanks

From your description, I am thinking of the old Shamrock Cliff Hotel which does have a small cottage nearby, It is now called Ocean Cliff
