Newport B and B kid friendly

Hi, I have done a lot of research about B and B's in Newport. Most have at least one room that is a suite; some of these have a pullout or extra bed. My husband and I would like to take our quiet 11 yo son with us, but it looks like most require that kids be over 12yo. I like the Francis Malbone Inn, the Hilltop Inn and the Attwater Villa. Any ideas of a good B and B that would a room set-up and hosts that would accomodate an 11yo? I would also consider the Vanderbuilt Residence Club, but the drawback is no breakfast included and expensive at $375 Thanks, K

Give your preferred places a call. Some may be sticklers for their rules, but you may find that one or more will accept a quiet 11-year old if you ask.

You should definitely call, especially if the suites have an extra bed or pullout. The owners are probably used to being asked your question. At my B&B I will usually make an exception for an 11-year-old, even though my stated requirement is 12.

Thanks, I will try calling them and ask if they will accomodate an 11yo. Especially bc the night I want to go is in less than a week (midweek) and there appears to be a lot of availability in Newport that day. Karen

Newport Blues Inn alows children 8 and over...the owners are great, and it's in a good location. (There's an arcade at the end of the street that might make your son happy)

My friend rented it out for their wedding last Fall and couldn't say enough about it.
