NEWLY RETIRED & lookin' for fun!
 

My husband and I will be retired at the end of this year - 60 and 63! We have friends who go to either Arizona or California with their motor home and stay down there for the winter. Did I say we were Canadians, and we're sick of the cold and snow. We've gone to Maui for the last 5 yrs and thought that maybe this year, we should try this type of a vacation instead. Does anyone have any thoughts on where there's wonderful r.v. park areas (pools, close to golf courses, etc.) We don't have a recreation vehicle so we'd be looking to rent as well. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Will be interested to see your responses. I am from the northern great plains and most of my relatives have wintered in and around Phoenix (Mesa). Visited once, wasn't impressed BUT a lot of them like it. But I do think I would prefer it over Florida. Good luck.

Check out rentals in Palm Springs, Palm Desert. Great place to spend the winter if you like golf.

You might want to mention more specifically in your title... something like "RV rental & RV parks"? While I love the spirit of your post, and I see you have it tagged for Arizona, people might skip over it who have the specific suggestions you need.
