We took the Express Bus last weekend, on the way back to EWR. Fairly fast, no luggage problems, easy and convenient to find, and cheap for seniors, 7.50 pp. We took it from the Port Authority. Bought our tickets from the service agent before boarding. I recommend it highly since it is nonstop directly to the terminal, no schlepping of bags,etc, just put them onboard under the bus and you are set to go. There was a discount coupon in the Continental inflight magazine.

i don't find bookmarked or ttt'd old posts distracting at all because if it's a topic i have no interest in, i don't read on. and if a poster bookmarks an old post, that poster usually knows that it's an old post and would know to sift through the responses to the OP to know what info is useful and relevant for him/her. case in point: poconolady's response above.

DD and SIL live in Long Island City, they are flying out of Newark when they come to visit us at in a month or so. Is there best option to take a subway into Manhattan and then take the bus from Port Authority?

How much luggage will they have? they can take the subway to Penn Station, then NJ TRansit fo the airport then the Airtrain if they don;t have much.

If they want to take bus it;s more pleasant to do so from Grand Central - if that subway is easy for them. But realize the bus is $15 - except for seniors.
