Newark Airport to Bayonne

This is for folks who live in New Jersey. Is there a bus or any public transit that I can take to go from Newark Airport to Bayonne? Many thanks.

Not sure about buses, but I believe you can take the train from Newark Airport to Hoboken and then take the light rail from Hoboken to Bayonne. However, a lot of this is dependant on what day and time you are traveling.

Check NJ Transit's website for schedules and more information:

Another option may be to call a car service. I'm not sure how much a trip to Bayonne will cost though.

Bayonne is only about 4 miles from Liberty Newark. Can I assume you are going there to catch a cruise ship? With all your luggage, I wouldn't fool around with public transit -- Take a taxi -- less stress.

I took a taxi from the Newark Amtrak station to Bayonne last year. I think it cost about $25. Ask ahead of time.

Airtrain from terminal to Newark Airport train station. NJTransit train to Newark Penn Station. PATH train to Exchange Place. Hudson-Bergen light rail to Bayonne.

Yes, 4 trains, but it can be done.

Or take local buses. May save a connection or two. Check with the NJTransit website.

rkkwan -- LOL. That would be a nightmare with luggage in my opinion when a cab ride would only be 10 or so minutes.
