My company Rekop has been using Park2Go for the last 2 years. It takes us 5 mins to airport asnd they pick up within 10 mins. Our compamy has enjoyed this service and has zero complaints. It is only $11 day and very safe & secure. I highly recommend them. If you want to park your own car and keep your keys they never say no. Try it.

Looking for updated info for 2010! Anyone stayed at ABC at the airport lately? Still recommended?

NeoPatrick May 30th, 2010 04:51 AM

lol Here I was reading this three year old thread thinking that $15 a day for parking at Newark didn't seem so bad compared to other places less "metro". But I bet it's more now -- three years later?

I'll give my experience with Newark parking. We were gone 10 days and got back last night - we used EZWay and had their Internet coupon for $10/day (+15% tax of course). They took us directly to the airport - at 4 a.m.! Coming back, we had their card with phone number, called as soon as we had our luggage and waited for 15 minutes to be picked up. It went very smoothly for us. After we were picked up, another group was picked up, but they had to wait 1/2 hour. Could have been that EZWay only had one driver then as it was midnight. Who knows?

My only complaint was that 3 miles were put on the car while we were away (I wrote down the initial mileage, but had meant to put it on their form so they would know I was recording it - too bad I forget. Anyway, this way, at least I knew they didn't drive all over creation, but the lot isn't big enough to warrant 3 miles of moving the car around... and what would they do for 3 miles??? The A/C was also turned to the lowest temp and the driver's seat was reclined more than I would ever do. The car was used for something, but there was nothing missing and no damage. We weren't really upset about it.

Sounds like someone took a nap on a hot day . . .

Sounds like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer parks his car in a city lot, suspects some funny business is going on, then gets in trouble when he shows up in his amazing technicolor dreamcoat...

kwren, when the police come knocking at your door to find the car that was involved in that bank robbery -- then you'll have your answer!

kwren Jul 28th, 2010 04:24 PM

yikes Neo - you have such a sense of humor! I'll laugh all the way to jail!

I thought about someone napping, but that doesn't explain the 3 miles - unless they drove to the back of the lot every day so as not to be caught by the boss! I've heard of cars having 20 or 30 or many more miles on the odometer when the people returned to various lots! Putting the mileage on the form supposedly helps, assuming you remember to do that.

NeoPatrick Jul 28th, 2010 04:34 PM

Seat reclined, AC turned low --- "napping"???? Surely you're not THAT naive, kwren!!!!!

kwren Jul 28th, 2010 05:56 PM

That WAS actually my first thought Neo, ask my husband what I said, but then with our kids in the car I had to tone it down! LOL :))

They must have driven down to the bank to make a deposit!

Ah, now you've got it!

There was a recent report on Fox 5 about Park 2 Go, where a woman discovered 70 miles added to her odometer when she was on a trip and parked there for a week. It seems some of these fly-by-night off-airport parking lots are a little sketchy.

I'd be very upset if even 3 miles were added to my car while it was parked. EZ Way Parking does get a lot of complaints posted online.

If you are going on a 10-day trip and have to pay $10 per day to park, that's $100, at $15 per day it's $150. If you can get round-trip Limo transport to EWR for $185, why wouldn't you just pay that and be done with it? Then your car is safe at home and you don't have to worry about scrapes and extra mileage on the odometer. But if you live only 20 minutes from the airport, I'm a little surprised that it costs over $90 each way. I pay less than that and I live in Manhattan, about 30 to 45 minutes from the airport.

We live near Harrisburg 3 hours from the Newark airport and 5 of us were going on the trip. 3 miles was a drop in the bucket compared to what we put on the car to get there. I know we were lucky someone didn't joyride the car.

Renting a car cost more than gas plus parking at EZWay and had additional hassle of pick-up and drop-off. Staying in a hotel for the free parking cost a whole lot more. We won't even touch the limo option obviously. Sometimes you just gotta drive.

I think newark airport parking facilities are improving now as they are getting complaints like Ezwayparking.com some of the other campaniles are now coming up with some great offers and services.
