Newark Airport Parking
 

Looking for advice from locals. I need to get to Newark in the first week of May and want to know if any of the long-term parking lots (the private ones, not the on-airport ones) are particularly good. I'm looking for inexpensive and will make you feel like they aren't "fly-by-night" (please excuse the airport pun.)

BTW, my car is not a worry, as it is old and not something anyone would want to steal or even notice.

All advice for the best lot is gratefully accepted!

I always park at Avistar - Haynes Avenue and have never had a problem. To get there, go onto the the Newark Airport "property" and then exit onto Haynes Avenue. You'll continue to the left onto 1&9 South and the parking facility is right there.
I've also tried their McClelland Ave. spot (which is cheaper for some reason) but wouldn't go back since they "lost" my car...took them 1-1/2 hours to find it while I was waiting!
If you're a AAA member, you can get a discount and there are usually discount coupons on the internet.

I always use the Airport Hilton. they charge $10 to self park, and $14 for valet/garage. They have shuttles to/from the airport.

We used Hilton 2 months ago. Problems were that the shuttle goes only every half-hour, not on demand, and the ride there is convoluted as it has to cross Rt. 1. ((*))
