New Yorkers: Dogs Allowed in which big chain hotels?

Trying to use up some points...need somewhere to which I can use or transfer all these points, like a Hilton, Marriott, etc. And, I'll be bringing my dog. Suggestions?

I'm guessing most New Yorkers don't take their dogs to hotels within the city, so they probably won't be much help.

But, check out these web sites for recommendations:

As far as Marriotts go, usually Residence Inns and Courtyards will allow pets, but you'll pay a non-refundable deposit.

I realize that "non-refundable deposit" is a word the hotels use, but is that not a contradiction?

Are not deposits, by name, refundable?

I guess they think "non-refundable deposit" to sound more palatable than "charge" or "tariff" as we call it.

the carlyle hotel allows dogs, and the doormen very lovingly walk them for you.

Mrs Bucket is right about that "non refundable deposit which really means Dog Charge!
La Quinta hotels do not charge for pets.
If I am not mistaken, the Soho Grand Hotel allows dogs if you want to be on that side of town instead of the Carlyle (sigh, to have such a choice:)

The Regency is a Loews hotel and "Loews Loves Pets".

Kit, take your dog to Buckingham Fountain in Central Park. Everyone takes their dogs there for a big dog party on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's really a sight to behold. I could have sat there for hours watching the pooches have a ball.

Sorry, I meant "Bethesda" fountain. Buckingham fountain is in Chicago, duh!
