New York Weather

How is the weather usually in New York during the first week in September?

HowardR Mar 4th, 2003 02:16 PM

Could be beautiful...could be hot! Temperatures could be anywhere from low 70s to high 80s.

ah4sail Mar 4th, 2003 02:26 PM

Do you mean New York CITY?? Or Albany New York or Buffalo New York?? It's a big state and the weather isn't the same in all parts.

ronnieh Mar 4th, 2003 02:37 PM

Your correct, I should have been more specific. I mean New York City

HowardR Mar 4th, 2003 03:06 PM

My earlier posting was for NYC.
It will be freezing cold. There will still be snow on the ground from this January. It is never going to be warm again.
sorry, I must have cabin fever, it is so damn cold here and Spring is sooo far away.
Thank you for letting me whine:)
Actually, Sept can be gorgeous! Warm days and cooler nights, what I wish NYC would feel like most of the year!

scarlett,

i couldn't help but laugh at your ranting. i feel exactly the same way. i feel like it will never get warm again and i will have to keep looking at this freaking snow until sept.! i know i was wishing for winter this past summer...but boy, am i ready for spring!

There really is no "usually". Even from one day to the next.
Sorry for asking a question within a question but - any hope the weather will warm up at the end of the month? Going to NYC for a few days at the end of the month - hoping for 50-60s - wishful thinking???

Scarlett Mar 4th, 2003 06:55 PM

Just as wishful as my thinking!
I'm just amused at how people could not understand that if someone says how is the weather in New York anyone would think that perhaps they meant Buffalo or Albany instead of New York City. Sort of like asking about how the food is in Paris and someone asking, "which one? There's a Paris in Tennessee too you know."

It just seems like common sense that if someone wanted to know about the weather in Albany, New York they would ask that, not just say "New York" which also happens to be the name of the largest and most visited city in the US.
