New York to the Hamtons

If International travel is back on board by September we'd like to visit New York and spend a few days in the Hamptons. Is it best to rent a car in New York and drive there or should we take a train and rent a car when we're in the area. Thank you

Take a train or the special direct bus. Then, rent a car out there. It is quite a long drive as well as expensive to rent a car in Manhattan.

Thank you Happy Trvir. That makes sense. I guess I'll look to see where the train goes to and then a car rental agency.
