New York to Houston Flight
 

How long is this flight? Southwest shows 6 hours...is it really that long?

You've probably got a connecting flight or a stop somewhere along the route.

Also are you taking into consideration the time change? NY is 1 hour ahead of Houston.

I just looked out of curiosity; there are no nonstop flights from Islip to Houston; all flight have anywhere from 1 to 3 stops. That is why your flight time is showing 6 hours.

You will have a connecting flight(s) or one or more stops. SW doesn't fly to HOU non-stop. Taking into account the 1 hour time difference and the connecting times/stops, 6 hrs is probably correct.

BTW - non-stops on CO or Jet Blue are about 3 - 3.5 hours actual flight time.
