New York Stock Exchange

I have seen posts on this board that the NY Stock Exchange is open for tours and also that it is closed. The recording on their telephone number says their interactive education center is closed to all but school groups and employees families.

Has anyone actually been on a tour of the Exchange recently? How did you get tickets? Can you actually see the trading floor from the education center?

Thanks.

No tours, and extra security of all sorts even outside, since 9/11/01.

Closed, closed, closed. They aren't letting anyone in outside of people that need to be there.

Does anyone know if there is any talk of opening it back up to the public this year?

I would think not. Even Wall St is now closed to all traffic because of 9/11. Lots more security in the area so my guess is you can get to see it from the outside only and go see the Federal Building across the St.

You can also see Trinity Church, at the head of Wall St, beautiful building and interesting cemetery surrounding the building.

Hi,

Any updates? Is it possible for visitors to view the trading floor at the NYSE? Thanks in advance for any replies.
