New York Soho lunch suggestions - Help

Loved fodorites food suggestions for my other trip locations.
Heading to NY this coming weekend, girls trip. We'll be browsing in Soho late Saturday morning through afternoon until dinner there. Any nice lunch spot recommendations? Don't need an elaborate meal, as we have dinner reservations at very good seafood restaurant there in evening, but would like something good. Last trip did Balthazar, too noisy and so so for the prices. Help would be appreciated. Know it will be crowded on Saturday. Thanks again.

Try Rauol's, is what Balthazar has tried to be. Has been there maybe thirty years now.

Aquagrill-wonderful seafood

And more Tribeca than Soho but sensational souffles-http://www.capsoutofreres.com/

Lure Fishbar is the place for you. It's my go-to spot in Soho and never disappoints.

Since it will be packed for marathon weekend, you really need a reservation wherever you go unless you're willing to wait for a table. Mercer Kitchen or Kittichai are both good and take reservations. Kittichai is Thai but has a nice brunch menu and there's an offer on opentable.com for 30% off your bill. It's a nice spot to decompress from the mania of weekend Soho shopping.

You'll never get into Rauol's (no opentable reservation) and since you're having seafood for dinner, neither Aquagrill or Lure make sense. Capsouto Freres is very nice but not terribly convenient for Soho shopping. If you want something more casual, you can try the Broome St. Bar.

We've eaten ehre a few times in the past and enjoyed the variety. I am not sure if it is in the exact neighborhood of the Soho.. but it is not far form there if not IN it.

Oh, I missed the seafood-for-dinner comment, and Lure is indeed seafood.

Barolo is fun and has been featured in several movies.

Spring Street Natural is a nice spot - Spring at Lafayette, I think. Organic menu, with some nice outdoor seating if the weather is good.

I can recommend 2 spots in the West Village, Gusto's on Greenwich St, wonderful Italian, good service and nice selection of wines.

Also LaBota, also on Greenwich (between 6th and 7th), Spanish Tapas. I found it on a walk through the village recently and loved it. Cute garden in the back. The food was amazing, and lots of options. Nice sangria too. Yelp reviews were good too.

Have a great time while you are here.
