New York sightseeing trips
Hi there
We are in New York for the first time in Sept for 4 days,we don't want to miss anything what places would you recommend we visit, something unusual would be great! |
Before you get flamed for not doing any research, let me gently suggest that you do a search on this site for suggestions (as well as other research), then ask more specific questions.
Some things to consider include: What are your interests? Art, shows, dining, shopping, nigtlife, sight-seeing? High-end or low-end? What do you mean by "unusual"? We'll be here when you're ready. |
As another starting point, click on 'destinations' at the top of this page, choose New York City, and read Fodors' 'best of three days itinerary' -- as well as all the other very useful NYC info they've put together right here. And you'll probably have more than you can possibly cram into four days!

We just returned from our first NYC visit. I strongly suggest the Gray Line doubledecker bus tour. We did the one where you can get off and back on at many stops throughout the city, for a 48 hour period. After two days of that, we went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the Empire State Building, and Central Park.

I will second the recommendation for the Gray Line double decker bus tour. It gives a great overview of the city.
