New York, revisited.

Thinking of taking a bonus mini vacation to NYC for a few days. Have been to NYC many times and seen the major tourist sights. Would like to visit the Statue of Liberty again, but besides this there's aren't any sights I'd really like to revisit.

Looking for ideas of what to see/do on a return visit to NYC.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Give us some hints on what you like. Museums? Walking tours? When are you planning on going?

Thanks for the replies. This possible NYC trip will be in September. Walks and getting lost in the city would appeal more than museums, don't care too much for museums. Any suggestions on which neighbourhoods are worth exploring on foot? Food restaurants? Off the beaten track sights? Would be appreciated.

IMO every neighborhood is worth exploring on foot.
There is great food in restaurants all over the city.
Plenty of off the beaten track sights.

Good luck planning your trip.

The West Village, East Village, Lower East Side, Soho, Upper West Side, and Upper East Side all have their charms. There are many books which have self-guided walking tours.
