Portland Happy Hour suggestions?
I've been looking for some happy hour options around town.
We've decided on El Gaucho for tomorrow but I'd like to hear if you have recommendations for future use.
Cheers!

I'll recommend El Gaucho. It was fabulous.
We were talking about Portland City Grill tonight and that it was time to try it again. I haven't been in about 5 years. I'd love to sit by a window and look at the city lights.

My favorite is Palomino--a great deal. But there are many options: http://www.barflymag.com/bar/palomino.html

The Alberta Street Tin Shed? My DD used to live around the corner and I'd go there for breakfast. I love that neighborhood.
I like Fenoil's next to Jamison Park because I like the ambience - it's fun to sit outside on a warm night (well maybe you'll have to wait until summer!) and watch families and kids running around.

Hmmmm......give me a minute, nanabee, and I'll think about what's going on right now. Mostly I see lots of closure notices and very few openings. Genoa reopened but I think it's a chunk of change.
I think you've been to Ned Ludd and Toro Bravo, right? And did you ever try Nuestra Cocina? I wouldn't hesitate to go back to any of those three.
Maybe a food cart tour? If you have time on your hands I think it would be a great day trip to nibble your way around town. My son drives a pedicab and I'm trying to get him to consider a food cart tour as a business. What do you think?
This is another place I've been meaning to try. I don't think they are notably fabulous but I think these monthly dinners would be fairly special and a lovely price at $35.

If I come up with something else I'll send it your way.
