Well im heading to New York this Summer for my first time.

It's a heck of a town
The Bronx is up but the Battery's down

I always think there are several movies that everyone should be required to see before visiting New York:

42 Street
On the Town
Taxi Driver
Something by Woody Allen (preferably Annie Hall)

(I could name dozens more - but this gives a little feel for the city.)
