Is the fun pass 24 hours or one calendar day?

Neither. No matter what time you buy the one day pass, it is only valid until 2AM.

Has that changed from 3AM?

Also, is the pass now active when you buy it as opposed to when you first use it? We use the buses, so typically buy one at a subway station for the next day, so we don't have to go to a station before heading out for the day. We can't do that anymore?

The pass is activated when you first use it, not when you buy it. That hasn't changed. Also, it is still valid until 3 am
