I got a good price from Travelzoo for the Pearl Hotel that is just opening Oct.11-$320 for 2 double beds + breakfast. It is on 49th St. I feel that i am taking some what of a chance because it will not be completely finished, but it will be new and the location is what you are looking for. If you can share a bed it is $280

Another thread here mentions the Pearl Hotel which is brand new, opening in October. You may be able to get a good deal on a room there.
