new york hotel
Found a rate for the Park Central Hotel on quickbook in may for 3 nights at 149, was thinking about booking this as a back up if i cant get a room on priceline so far all my bids have been rejected. My question is is this a good rate for the park central?, should i keep trying on priceline? has anyone stayed there? i get mixed reviews from tripadvisor, how easy is it to cancel a reservation on quickbook? any advice will be appreciated

Have you gotten bidding advice from www.biddingfortravel.com? If not, I would suggest at least looking at the site and, if you need assistance, registering and asking for bidding assistance. Registration is free.

I stayed there a few years ago for that rate through Quikbook. The hotel is decent and has a great location. I am using it as a cancellable (sp?) backup when I start bidding for a hotel stay coming up in June. Quikbook allows you to cancel up until the day before at least the last tiime i used it they did. As the above poster suggested, biddingfortravel.com has great advice and strategies for bidding. If you read through all of it it will help you immensely. I use it everytime i bid on priceline.

Since you still have a considerable amount of time to bid, I'd fill out a bid request forn on the biddingfortravel.com website located in the Hotel FAQ category. There are so many winning bids in the 100-125 price range, I'd rather take the savings and splurge on a good dinner :)I have reserved rooms several times on quickbook, be sure to read the cancellation policy. Some bookings are nonrefundable.

before you book anything, check the hotel's website and call the hotel directly. Many times they offer better rate than these booking sites. I just saved $25/night (as compared to the lowest price I could find on booking sites and the hotel website) by calling the hotel to book.
