No regrets about any place we went (even Papaya King) What a fantastic trip - because we go quite often (and as I said grew up there) we spend very little time in museums, and sometimes see a show, but not always (we are seeing Hello Dolly during Bette Midler's final run in August) -- our favorite thing to do in NY is just to walk different neighborhoods (and from neighborhood to neighborhood - we can easily cover 10 miles in a day). Love that city more than any other, |
Thanks. It would be hard not to have a great time in NYC I am sure Hello Dolly will be a treat! I do want to see a show sometime soon....it's been forever since I have been to one.
I lost my fit bit so I have no ides how many steps we walked or how much ground we covered. It's a tough call for e between NYC and Paris. Both cities never get old for me and invite exploration. Last, I appreciate your appreciation of Papaya King. Sometimes, you just need a hot dog! |
I love your trip reports so thank you for posting. It has been a while but just want to go once more and see the Neue Galerie and check out the doughnut plant. I think I have seen that on the food network. I m so sorry your sister lost her home, how horrible. I love girl trips and seems you took very good care of your husband. Glad you had a great time and not sweltering hot like this week.

Great report! I don't think a trip is in the cards for me soon but I'd love to go back.
|
Loved your trip report! Thanks for sharing it. Your affection for that city mirrors my own and makes me even more excited for my trip coming up in November.
|
Hi denisea! I loved your TR For whatever reason, I saw Times Square at night before DH did and agree that it is so much fun to see the reactions of others. We didn't know how large the sandwiches would be at Katz's! As much as I love Paris, I'll take Manhattan!
|
Thanks everyone. You all are kind and my sister did move into a new place right after we got back from NYC. So she is bouncing back and enjoying being in a new place in a new part of town.

Totally loved this trip report -- you have a very fun travel style. As a newly native New Yorker, I'm completely on your side regarding the bike lanes -- bikers in New York really believe that they are saving the world -- it's too much! :)
You also hit many amazing restaurants and a large number of my favorite spots -- job well done! :) |
