They had the potato and pepper's at Defonte's which is wonderful and lethal but they omitted their meatball's which taste like old Brooklyn.
Nicky's Vietnamese should be added.
Among the sandwiches that should not be on the list are
Prune's bacon and marmalade
Cheesesteak at 99 miles to Philly, It tastes like the tires that drove the 99 miles.
Anything at Roll N Roaster-designed for people who are hungover
The Venessa wahtever. Even cheap is not an excuse
Why the tuna at Eisenberg's is on many lists is a mystery.
Cheeky sandwiches-it is greatest asset is that it is on a street where there is no competition.
This little Piggy Had Roast Beef-As my Italian neighbor said, if you like the way Irish make roast beef this is the place. And the owner of Little Piggy is Italian. He also owns Artichoke Pizza and Led Zeppole bakery. Those two places have an endearing charm to bar hoppers who like to stand in the rain at 2 AM to eat.

Chick-Fil-A's chicken sandwich is on this list? Seriously? That already makes this suspect, am thinking.
Big fan of Katz's pastrami sandiwch, of course. Have had the sturgeon without egg at Barney Greengrass on a bialy, and did like that as well.

I've also had the tuna sandwich at Eisenberg's, and like Aduchamp1 I don't get the "must" factor of this particular item. It's okay, but nothing to go out of one's way for.
But I do think the place itself is a really cool throwback eatery, and am glad it's still around. That being said, I'd be most likely to get an egg cream and leave it at that should I return there.

77. Brisket/Blue Smoke
59. Shrimp Roll/Luke's
16. Lobster Roll/Red Hook Lobster Pound
eks - thanks for the link.
Luke's just opened on the UES - I'm anxious to try it. 2nd Ave Deli is finally working on the 1st Ave & E 75th St location - looking forward to that as well.
