Where in Manhattan are Ukrainian churches, restaurants,bars, shoppes, etc. located? I understand there is a Ukrainian Street Festival every spring.<BR>Thanks!<BR>Dyakoyu!

The East Village would be the place to find Ukrainian Restaurants and Churches. There is a big church just east of 3rd Avenue on 6th Street. There are a couple of Ukrainian restaurants on 2nd Avenue near 9th Street.

Many bars, restaurants, shops and Ukranian organizations can be found on or close to 2nd Ave., from around 4th St. to 14th St. There is an Eastern Orthodox Church on W. 82nd St. and a Catholic Church at 359 Broome St. This one is closer to the Ukranian area in and around 2nd Ave. The Ukranian Museum is on 2nd Ave at 13th ST.

Lots of good Ukrainian food and spectacular folkdancing. St.George's Church must be the church you referred to.<BR> Thanks again and stay well!

There are some good Ukranian bars on 7th St. Brewski's used to be run by a guy named Yusef but they may have sold it as the barkeep's name is now Graham - it's on the same block as McSoreleys (right near Cooper). THey have many beers and have an electric train that run's along the ceiling - pretty cool. Even though the name is Brewski's it's more intimately known as "Russian Bear (or Beer)" If you head east down 7th there is a divey bar called Blue and Gold which specialized in many Vodkas, I believe this is still Russian owned.
