New York City Hotels
Looking for a good hotel near the Theater District for a Friday night stay, but that will let me keep the room until 6 or 7pm Saturday (maybe paying a "day rate" for Saturday?). I'm flying out of JFK at 10pm Saturday and would like to be able to go back to my hotel room after a 2pm matinee on Saturday and freshen up before my long flight to Europe.

When will you be in the city (rates vary a lot by time of year) and what is your budget?

First week in October, and we're looking to do this fairly econonically ($300/night approx), since this is a stopover on our way to Europe.

I don't know of any hotels in NYC that would let you stay til 6 or 7pm on a Sat. without paying for the entire night. If you belong to any frequent guest program from a chain hotel, they might accommodate you. Otherwise, you'd have to pay for 2 nights I think. If you're talking about that first weekend in Oct., for some reason it's a really expensive time in NYC. You could try bidding on Priceline for a hotel for the 2 nights and could well win something for under $150/night that would still stay within your budget. The Hotel at Times Square is $215/night and includes free cont. b/f. It's not fancy but good location and recently redone. applecorehotels.com

Hi Voyager -
I suggest the Comfort Inn Midtown on W. 46th. Breafast is included, and it's very close to the half price Broadway ticket booth. |
