New York City - entertainment website?
 

In Chicago, there is a website www.metromix.com which is the entertainment section of the Chicago Tribune. It is useful because there are reader reviews (along with critic reviews and ratings) for restaurants, hotels, etc. You can check to see what is going on during a certain time frame. It also has a mapping program and will tell you what is near a hotel, restaurant, etc. Does anyone know of a website similar to this for New York? We are going for the first time and that would be useful. Thank you.

Also www.villagevoice.com and Shecky's for nightlife (www.sheckys.com). Many more for specific types of clubs/parties/etc.

These sound like what I am looking for. I forgot about citysearch - I use that here sometimes, too. Thanks for the information.
