New York City Birthday Dinner

Need help from fellow NYC fodorites: In town for Thanksgiving and need a good spot for a birthday dinner tomorrow night for 10 people - not too pricey, good food and festive. Could be anywhere.
Thanks!

Wow, that's a tall order.
Thanksgiving weekend, no advance notice, large party, desiring good food.
Many of the better restaurants won't accept reservations for more than 6.

I checked OpenTable for your specifics and found a few options, though:
Washington Park in Greenwich Village is available, along with Patroon in Midtown. WP has a website at washingtonparknyc.com
On short notice all the favorites will be fully booked.

Try the Water Club.

Thanks. Sorry about the frantic post. Made a reservation at Biyaglou on the UES. Supposed to be great Turkish food. I can post feedback if anyone's interested.

Yeah, I'd like to hear what you thought about it.

We loved it. It was extremely reasonable, the food was tasty and they let us linger far beyond any typical NYC restaurant. The menu is limited for entrees, but they cover the basics: Fish, Beef, Chicken. Appetizers are the way to go for the table. Had plenty of salads, stuffed eggplant with pine nuts, spinach with garlic, feta cheese wraps, and beans. The bread was delicious.
We had no problem getting in with ten people either. Ask for upstairs if you have a group. You can hear better and don't lose out on atmosphere.
