New York City bathrooms

does anyone know of any hotels that have luxury baths--mainly a stand-up shower. my husband has a back problem and the best thing for him would be a larger shower with a bench seat.

Thanks all!

You should request a handicapped-accessible room & ask whether there is a stand up shower.

I agree with Sue -- I think this request can be accommodated at most larger (and especially newer) hotels by asking for a handicapped-accessible room.

Some of the rooms at LeParker Meridien have showers *instead* of baths, but it's because the rooms are rather small and a shower is all that space allows.

It's a fairly nice hotel - not in the "luxury" category, but definitely a solid 3.5 or 4* star hotel (it does have a pool.) Beautiful lobby; rather dark, dreary hallways, rooms nicely furnished and very clean. And a great location - on 57th near Carnegie Hall.

Anytime I stay at a hotel I request a handicapped-accessible room. Every handicapped bathroom I've been assigned had a stand up shower. Some had a bench seat.
