NEW YORK CITY 4/27-4/30

We're visiting NYC 4/27-4/30, 2006. We haven't been since 2002, but, we've been many times before. What's new since 2002? We've done all the major tourist things (Empire State, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Horse & Buggy ride........). We'll be staying right next to Carnegie Hall. What's the latest in restaurants, in and around that area? (but, we don't mind venturing out, if we can find our way, we like all kinds of food). Any big events happening in NYC at that time? (I need to find a New York City toruism board, I guess). We LOVE NYC, & are so happy to be going again. We just keep asking ourselves, "What haven't we done that we should have done"? Thanks for suggestions!

You don;t mention any museums - but I assume you've covered all the majors. Have you done the smaller ones - like the Frick and Museusm of the City of NY? Or the Cloisters? How about the relatively new Museum of Sex?

And there are always lots of new shows to see.

For restaurants - what cusines and type of budget? (There are hundreds of new ones.)

Top of the Rock? Very touristy I'd imagine, but apparently it's a stellar view.

This web site looks informative.

We're going around the same weekend and were suprised to find that some of our choices for hotels were pretty booked already. One of the reservationists said that there is a big international beauty convention (or something of that sort) in town that weekend.

The Top of the Rock in Rockefeller Center is new since 2002. It has one thing that the top of the Empire State Building doesn't have, namely, a view of the Empire State Building!
It's best to go at night.
