New York Accomodation
Hi, My wife and I are staying for a week in New York City and don't know where the best place to stay is. We love music and sight seeing and would like to stay in a central location. Can anyone help us out?
Thanks Heaps Cheers |
The very best places are the St. Regis and the Four Seasons...

camrowe, if you answer a few more questions, you can get really good advice here.
How old are you? When are you coming? How much do you want to spend per night? Type of hotel--classic, boutique, trendy, just a place to sleep? What kind of music do you want to go see, and what kind of "sightseeing"?--museums, walking tours of neighborhoods, restaurants" Do you like to stay in busy downtown business/theater areas, or more of a local neighborhood? Almost any place in Manhattan will get you good access to any place you want to go, so the answers to these questions will help people make better suggestions. |
E_M, you fogot the Mandarin and the Ritz/Central Park.

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, factors for most people considering a visit NYC is what you can afford to pay for a hotel per night. This is also affected by the season so nyer's question of "When are you coming?" is also very important.

To seem people "best" means the most expensive. To others it means the best bargain. To still others it means a place with the most character. Some think best is the place that is the most famous, others think best is the one no one else knows about yet.

To me best is the most charming. luxurious with good views. And you'll pay big bucks for that - probably at least $700 per night and up.
But - what do YOU mean by best? And the balance of when you're coming and what prices will be is vital. |
