My buddy and I will be in town for the marathon this weekend and would like to go out and party after the race. We are both 45 years old and looking for a bar/club that plays classic rock or 70's/80's music. Any suggestions?

Most of the places that fit that description in NYC would be the sports bars. Do you know where you'll be watching the race? Depending on the location, I can give you some good recommendations.

I don't think I would go to culture club on a Sunday afternoon. It caters mostly to bachelor and bachelorette parties in town on weekend nights. I would look on www.sheckys.com in the immediate area from where you'll be watching the race. You can pick a fun sports bar that plays good music.

Actually, we will be running the race. The official race party will be at the Copacabanna on Sun evening. If it gets slow there, we'll want to split and look for something better. What clubs/bar are happening on Sunday night?
