New Years somewhere in the mid west?
MY boyfriend and I are driving home from Michigan to NOrth Carolina over New Years. As a break in our trip, we thought we would stop for a day/night somewhere along the way on New Years. Does anyone have any suggestions? We don't mind if the destination is not immediately on our route.

The midwest huh? Well the only place in the midwest that is good for New Years is Chicago, I suggest you head a little west and ring in the new year in my sweet home Chicago
P.S. you will need to buy tickets to parties at hotels, bars ahead of time.

How about The Greenbriar? It's in the Allegheny Mountains in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia? It would be a romantic place to ring in the new year.

St. Louis Laclede's Landing has several partys on New Year's Eve. Not sure if this is on your trip route, though.

Sandi
How about Washington, D.C. ???

Before someone else points this out to me I just wanted to say that I do know that D.C. is not in the midwest, however it might not be far off of Stacey's route.
