New Year's Eve on Cape Cod

Looking for an inn or B&B that offers a new year's eve package (or alternatively, a 2BR condo with a gourmet restaurant nearby). We've been celebrating NY Eve with another couple for over 5 years now and are running out of places to stay - we're from the Boston area so would like to stay in New England since the weather is so unpredictable. Any ideas out there? Last year we rented a 2br condo in Maine & had dinner at the White Barn Inn - a fabulous experience!

Chathams Bar Inn comes to mind.

Or the Wequassett Inn www.wequassett.com . Both pricey but lovely and on the water. Also Chatham does a First Night celebration on New Year's Eve.

Chatham could be nice...have you looked into Newport, RI...?

Fort Hill Bed and Breakfast inthe National Seashore has only two suites in the main house with shared livingroom/fireplace. It might be perfect for you and your friends. They also have a lovely cottage with ocean views but I think they only allow two people to stay in the cottage. The Captain Linnell House, a romantic restaurant in Orleans, has wood burning fireplaces and a great cozy atmosphere for New Year's eve.

We spend every New Year's at the Cape and enjoy going to Chatham for the First Night festivities. We usually go around 5 p.m. and walk around town sampling some entertainment, ice sculptures, etc. Like to go to the Chatham Bars Inn for a cocktail and then dinner but it is often hard to get into the Tavern Room (and we are never dressed right for the formal dining room).

I think the Wequassett Inn is a great suggestion as their restaurant--28 Atlantic--gets rave reviews and you wouldn't have to drive once you got back to the resort.

I forgot about the Wequasett, but that would probably be your best bet. Have heard great things about the 28 Atlantic restaurant.
