New Year - New Problems on this Website?
 

Is this just me or is this website slow, takes 2 takes to post something, periodically "sorry we're working" old message gets pulled up, some threads easy to open, some (shorter ones) takes forever.

"We're so sorry, we're currently unable to display the page you requested. That URL may have expired, or we may be working feverishly on that particular part of our site." here is the message, didn't take long!

And "that particular part" is growing bigger, and bigger, and bigger, and

Yes I started having intermittent problems with disappearing posts again. Thought it was just me. Not having trouble this morning though.

This morning it's veeeerrrryyyyyyy slllllooooooooowwwwwwwww

And I have cable connection at work!

Hi Faina, it is not your connection. I too have a cable connection and have had problems since yesterday morning. Even trying to post this message took about 3 minutes. I hope it does post.

That keeps happening when I reply to a post too, FainaAgain, probably gonna happen right now when I hit Post my Reply.

Actually, it seems to be working better now.

Since I quit my E/L dial up on corrupted SBC land lines in late Dec, everything is going very well for me via a wireless router to SO's DSL.

Even after the anxiosly anticipated maintenance the website takes forever to open, all kind of error messages, takes too long (if at all!) to post.

It's getting worse!

Imagine you have fog now that the rain is gone? We sure have had fog for days.

BTW, right at the moment no problems on Fodors but yesterday and today I had all kind of problems. But did not on any other website. Interesting.
