Thanks Auntie.

Thanks auntie for the info.
I tried opening the web link, but was given the message that the page could not be displayed. Tried removing popup blockers, etc. No good. But your info is good enough for me. I'll definitely look them up when I head that way in May. Mahalo. |
Here's an alternate link -- click it, then scroll down the page to the "Business" section to read swap meet article:

have you tried pasting it into your browser? it opened just fine for me.
(just topping since this is my favorite post of the day!) |
Thank you! I got it now. Sounds like a very ambitious woman to put something like this together. As she says, "I'm a small lady, but I've got the guts of a big ocean." My kind of gal!
I'll definitely support her when I get over there. I like the idea of Hawaiian artists being the focal point. The island-style show each night should be terrific as well! |
Anyone have hotel suggestions for that part of Waikiki? Is there a name used that designates this area down toward Diamond Head around the zoo and the park?
I have stayed at the Hawaiian Hotel near Fort deRussy park several times and like it very much, but want to try a different part of town next trip. I thought Queen Kapiolani might work for me (I visited it & liked the sunny roof pool area and faded splendor decor) but am open for other similarly priced ideas ($75-150) nearby. Prefer smaller and/or local feel over high rise hotel chains if possible. mahalo |
I have also stayed at the Hawaiiana hotel, but prefer the location of this place. http://www.queenssurf.com/
About the same price, but the rooms are nicer IMO and I had the most amazing view of Diamond Head. Aloha! |
Thanks Auntie!! We will definitely check this out in April!
|
thanks again auntie maria
& thanks acaigirl for hotel suggestion |
There was a recent thread on the Ocean Resort Hotel, which is at that end of Waikiki. We are staying there in June since we have seven family members going, and they don't charge for extra people in a room.
