NEW to this web-site.
I have looked through #750 on the USA board. When I come here next time, how do I pick up where I left off? |
Hi RESORT2ME, threads change all the time, so some "sink" to the bottom and others are "topped" by someone posting a new post and consequently they go to the top of the threads. Sometimes people type ttt (which means to the top) for whatever reason. So although you have read up to #750 you cannot depend on going onto #751 and having that thread the same as when you logged off.
BTW, just for your information. Anytime you post, in order to find your posts just click on your name at the upper left hand side of the screen next to the Welcome sign. Or as you post more and more just click on your name wherever you see it on a thread and consequently you will pull up all of your various postings. I hope I have explained this in a way that makes sense, it is past midnight here. Best regards. |
The posts are ordered in such a manner that the thread with the most recent posting on it is at the top of the list. So if a thread that WAS in position 800 was posted to since you read 1-750, you might never see it.
But, if you want an easy way to get to the 751st thread, try using http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgTopic...&start=750 The formatting will seem strange, but at least you won't need to clisk thru 15 pages of 50 threads. Welcome! |
Do you know to use the search function? Type in a key word "Zion" for example, and the posts that match will show up.
As LoveItaly said, click on your screen name anytime it appears in blue and all your posts will show up. |
rb--Thanks for posting that tip! I'm not new, but I can never remember how to do that!
RESORT2ME--Starrsville makes a good point! When you have a question you want answered, oftentimes you'd do well to search for past threads on the topic first. You may find the actual answer you want, or at least you'll likely find some helpful info. Welcome to the board, and happy travels! |
