New Smyrna Beach or?
 

Friends from England will be visiting in March, staying a week with us and doing the west coast sites, then want to do the Space Center, and stay on the beach in that area. They'd heard New Smyrna Beach was the nicest in the area. Any suggestions for good (on the better side) places to stay in that area or within an easy drive of the Space Center? <BR> <BR>We've warned them away from Daytona because of Spring Break. Thanks for any help..we're clueless when it comes to FL's east coast! <BR>

We stayed in New Smyra Beach a couple of years ago at a lovely Bed and Breakfast called the Little River Inn tel no. (904)424-0100 it is not directly on the beach but the town itself is not that large so you are not too far away.Hope this helps.

Thanks Jan, that's a start anyway! Can you walk to the beach from there or is it a drive? Any other suggestions?

I would say its a drive, especially if the weather is hot. I do recall seeing a Holiday Inn overlooking the ocean in New Smyrna Beach, don't know what it is like but it may be worth looking up on their web site to see if it may suit your friends needs.

Why not stay at Cocoa Beach? It's right at the Space Center, saving more driving time.
