New Rockefeller Center Hotel, NYC

Been meaning to post this for a while; not sure if people are aware of this new hotel on West 51st Street. They were offering special rates for May a few weeks ago. I have no idea about details, other than what is posted on their web site.

That looks really nice, thanks for posting the link.

Oh, how I hate websites which don't even list rack rates or give an indication of price. Why does that make me think it's way expensive?

Neo, on the site provided by ekscrunchy, look over on the left hand side of the page, and click on "reservations" you can put in some random dates to get an idea of price.

My rate quote for this hotel was $419-$619 per night.

If they're that new and you're intrested I would call them directly - until they fill up you may get a much better deal. Also - they may be dumping inventory on Priceline - at least it's worth a look.

I first saw this a few weeks ago and they had special deals posted on their site...WAY lower than those quoted now...under $200 as I recall. Worth calling them directly or trying Priceline. If I have a chance I will walk by there and take a look.

oh - I didn't realize this was the Club Quarters. You might do MUCH better on price at http://www.clubquarters.com/home a lot of different organizations are associated with CQ and offer the CQ as a hotel option. Have stayed at some of their properties in other cities because of my affiliation with a design trade association, but I think you can still get a good rate on the CQ website as a 'regular' guest.

I meant to thank you for the heads up on this... we still have them built as the Club Quarters in our system and thanks to you I can pursue the updated information.
The hotel looks great! Appears they did some big rennovation!

I tried to get a reservation on the web site but it would not go through, I called and the club quarters answered and was absolutely no help.. Told me to call on Monday 7 AM to 9 PM. Also told me The Rockerfeller center hotel was not opened yet.

ekscrunchy: Where did you see the posting about the new Rock Center Hotel having a May special? I just went to the site and I called and found nothing. I have a flight booked for May 3rd for myself and two other women to stay 6 days. We are hotel shopping! Thanks for your help...

ekscrunchy Apr 16th, 2006 04:33 PM

I saw the news of their special on their web site a few weeks ago. I noticed that is no longer on their site. I am sorry that I did not post the news when I first saw it but you could give them a call tomorrow and see what the story is.

I booked a room at the Rockerfeller Center Hotel. There was no special, but I did get a petite suite for 245 a night. I sure hope this place is nice.

I wanted to let everyone know we stayed at the Rockefeller center hotel in june. The location for us was perfect, we could hear the morning show from the breakfast balcony. Yes breakfast was included for the $245 a night. The room was not huge, but adequate, very new and very clean. They gave us a welcome basket, with a take home clock, water, and three bars of expensive chocolates. They were still working on the hotel on certain floors, and the working crew was getting on and off the elevator with the guests. The lobby was very small and when 6 people arrived, it was extremely crowded. The front desk could not help us enough. They reserved tickets for us at a discount (The Top Of The Rock).
All in all I would recommend this hotel.
