New Orleans - You just gotta love this town!!
Heading into work this morning I noticed that they are starting to put up the Mardi Gras grandstands around Lee Cirlce. The first parades are still two months away but it will take the city that long to get the stands up. Any other city in America could accomplish the same thing in a weekend. Here it takes two months. New Orleans, a different state of mind. You just gotta love this town. Still, "throw me something mista" Mardi Gras' a'coming. Geaux Tigers!

Ahhhh...cajunboy - you make me smile....we DO love that town and their easy lifestyle is just part of the charm! "Let those good times whatever" and we'll see you next September.

Are you sure it's for Mardi Gras? Doesn't New Orleans host a college football bowl game? Or a Christmas parade?
Now, I'm not doubting it's takes the local government authority extra time to do the project, but then, it is New Orleans. |
Isn't the Sugar Bowl played in or around New Orleans? Not sure if they have a parade such as we do here for the Rose Bowl, but mayhap the stands might be for that?
I have to agree, though. New Orleans is a wonderful town! |
I love New Orleans. Planning a return trip sometime this year. Would eventually like to move there.

Laissez les bons temps rouler...I'm there CB!!

Ah, yes, NO will be hosting the Sugar Bowl this year. I'm a Sooner adrift amongst the Tigers!
