New Orleans - where to get diapers?
 

I will be traveling with my 8-month daughter and will be staying in French Quarter. Are there a lot of pharmacies around the area? I don't want to bring a big bag of diapers with me. Thanks for the info.

I'm sure you can find a walgreens on Canal st.

You'll want to get the Cajun version of Pampers. They're triple ply, just in case the baby has had cayenne peppers for breakfast.

There are several little sundries shops near the major hotels. I'm sure they would carry them. (Honestly, I've never had cause to look....yet) I'm sure the hotel could help you find a spot.<BR><BR>You could also go to Wal-Mart, etc before you left and ship some to yourself at the hotel.

I would just ask at the hotel when I get there. I am sure people have babies in NO. Maybe some one would even offer to pick them up for you if the store is off the beaten path.

We stayed in the French Quarter last year and there were plenty of Wal-Green's around. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

Previous posters are correct, Kasia. There's a Walgreens across from the Jax Brewery on Decatur as well as one or two on Canal.

There is also a grocery in the Quarter on Royal St at the corner of St Peters (near Pat O'Brien's). They will definitely have what you need. People forget that there are actual full time residents that live in the Quarter &amp; they shop too.
