New Orleans weather forecast- this weekend...
 

French Quarter Festival is this coming weekend. Forecast is for thunderstorms, rain forecast 80-90%, for every day of the festival!

We've enjoyed the festival before, but hard to imagine doing so when it's raining the whole time. I'm wondering if the rain comes and goes- does it rain for awhile, stop, continue on later- or is it pretty much a steady thing all day?

Not to be a baby about it, but it's so pleasant to enjoy the music on a nice day, and this doesn't sound promising, so trying to decide if we go for it or not.

And what would you like strangers to say?

How good is a forecast a week out in NO?

Does that forecast mean it is going to rain 80-90% of the time or does it mean that there is an 80-90% chance that it is going to rain sometime?

In my experience, the latter seems more likely, though next weekend is likely to be stormy in the Southeast.

Yesterday was beautiful at the French Quarter Festival! Great food & music, and the breeze off the river was wonderful.
